GWBA ALL-LEAGUE Team Announced

Flint-August 10- The Global Women’s Basketball Association (GWBA) proudly announces its ALL-LEAGUE team for the 2019 season.   The GWBA is wrapping up its fourth season but this is only the second time it’s elected to honor five players with an all-league team.

“We have a small but very powerful league full of elite level players,” said Drey Wynn, Chief Executive Officer of the GWBA.  “This top five consists of women's professional players who can play at the highest levels of this sport, and their all in our league.”

Players selected to the GWBA 2019 ALL-LEAGUE team are:

1. Rebecca Harris, St. Louis Surge- For the regular season averaged 18.0 pts, 5.0 reb, 6.7 ast, 0.8 stl, 47% FG, 48.7% 3 PT and 70.6% FT, set a league 3-point record with 9 nine three point field goals made in a game, twice named Player of the Week and her team finished the regular season tied for 2nd place at 3-3.  Also, Harris was named the 2019 MVP of the regular season.

2. Jolene Anderson, Wisconsin Glo- For the regular season averaged 15.4 pts, 5.2 reb, 2.2 ast, 1.2 stl, twice named Player of the Week and her team finished 1st place at 6-0. 

3. Crystal Bradford, Flint Monarchs- For the regular season averaged 17.0 pts, 7.5 reb, 3.3 ast, 58% FG, 35% 3PT, 82% FT , once named Player of the Week and her team finished the regular season tied for 2nd place at 3-3.

4. Arlesia Morse, Flint Monarchs- For the regular season averaged 17.2 pts, 5.8 reb, 0.8 ast, 51% FG, 42% 3PT, 89% FT, once named Player of the Week and her team finished the regular season tied for 2nd place at 3-3.

5. Gabbi Ortiz, Wisconsin Glo- For the regular season averaged 13.1 pts, 4.1 reb, 3.0 ast, 0.4 stl, once named Player of the Week and her team finished the regular season 1st place at 6-0. 

Players were honored at the awards ceremony on Saturday August 10, 2019 and were given a customized trophy.
