Flint Monarchs win home opener versus Icons, 94-61

FLINT, MI -- The three-time defending champion Flint Monarchs opened the home portion of their Global Women’s Basketball Association season with a 94-61 victory over the Music City Icons.

Sparkle Taylor led the Monarchs with 20 points and six rebounds. Taylor played at Flint Northwestern and Texas-El Paso.

Crystal Bradford added 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in just 17 minutes of action for Flint, which got 15 points from Arlesia Morse and 10 from Shareta Brown. 

Cali Clark led Music City with 25 points.

The Monarchs (2-1) return to action Saturday in Wisconsin.
