GLO defeats Flint Monarchs 101-91, caps perfect regular season

Flint, MI- May 28, 2019- The Global Women’s Basketball Association (GWBA) regular season champion GLO (6-0) never trailed in their regular season finale Sunday, racing out to leads of 6-0 and 19-2 during the opening quarter. Wisconsin, which led 47-42 at intermission and 77-69 after three periods, maintained an advantage until Flint knotted the score at 82 with four minutes remaining in the game.

Arlesia Morse led the Monarchs with 26 points and five rebounds.  Morse played at Flint Hamady High school and Marquette University.

Crystal Bradford scored 18 points, Jasmine Thomas recorded 11 points and Sparkle Taylor chipped in 10 points. 

The Wisconsin Glo were led by Player of the Week-Week 8 candidate Jolene Anderson with 22 points.

The Monarchs (2-3 GWBA) final home game will be against the St. Louis Surge (3-2) on Saturday August 3 at the Dort Federal Event Center, tipoff is at 4:00 pm EST.
