Jasmine Thomas leads Monarchs past Dodgers 62-59

FLINT – The Flint Monarchs extended their wining streak on the road by defeating the Detroit Dodgers 62-59.

Jasmine Thomas led the Monarchs with a season high 25 points and six rebounds. Sparkle Taylor posted 20 points and 14 rebounds and Ciani Cryor added 13 points and six assists.

“JT has answered the call plain and simple,” said Drey Wynn, Flint Monarchs. “She is playing at a high level, reminiscent to 2015 when she was named Finals MVP of the Women's American Basketball Association (WABA).”

Da' Jourie Turner led Detroit with 20 points and five rebounds. 

The Monarchs have a grudge match against the Detroit Dodgers on Friday August 6, 2021 at 7pm, this game will be played a Schoolcraft College in Livonia, MI.

The Monarchs (3-3) will close the regular season on the road at Oshkosh, Wisconsin and take on the Wisconsin Glo (5-2) on Saturday August 7, 2021 at 7pm CST.  This game will be live streamed at https://wiscoglo.com/watch-live/
